Amazon has always been one of my favorite places to peruse for new and interesting beauty finds. Being able to search through multiple beauty categories, read reviews, have my favorite products on auto-ship and have my purchases delivered straight to my doorstep quickly makes for a fun and easy shopping experience.
Another favorite thing about Amazon is being able to easily check out product recommendations that I get from other people! I even added a Facebook Community Favorites section to my Amazon Storefront with all of the wonderful skincare finds from my private Facebook group. If you are not a member I would absolutely love for you to join. SUCH AN AMAZING SPACE ON THE INTERNET! Join here → Penn Smith Skincare Community 😊
In this blog I give a quick little speed review with info about some of my favorite finds over the last few months and what I love about each product. You can also see these in my corresponding Youtube video. Be on the look out for my health and fitness finds coming SOON. I included one in this blog...But have several others that have really taken my fitness to the next level! Coming soon!
5 FUN AMAZON finds: Budget Beauty 😍
Skincare
One Thing Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate Toner
Skin Type: normal, sensitive, dry, oily or combination
Concern: pores, fine lines, dryness, aging skin
What I love about this product: Galactomyces is a fermented yeast extract known for its brightening and moisturizing properties. Beyond that galactomyces can improve skin texture and hydration. This super simple formula goes on like water and soaks in to the skin leaving little trace. It easily fits in to my routine in the essence step (just after cleansing AM and/or PM) and it doesn't interfere with any of my other skincare. Lovely 🩷
Kahi Wrinkle Bounce All-in-One Hydrating Multi Balm
Skin Type: normal, sensitive, dry, oily or combination
Concern: fine lines, hydration, aging skin, pores
What I love about this product: This convenient little multi-tasker is my replacement for the Tatcha serum stick (which I still do love...). I use this in so many ways- as a cuticle conditioner, added moisture to my hands, under my eyes at night when I need a boost of hydration, moisture and brightening and as a spot treatment. It is a little work horse that travels well :)
Haircare
Heeta Hair Scalp Massager
What I love about this product: Scalp massage can stimulate blood circulation, promoting healthier hair growth and reducing scalp tension. Additionally, it can enhance the effectiveness of hair care products by aiding in their absorption and distribution throughout the scalp. It can also help distribute natural oils evenly, nourishing the scalp
and improving overall hair health. This little low-fi tool is inexpensive and
easy to use. I pair it with a scalp serum nightly- massaging before I apply the scalp
serum and right after. OH! Did I mention that it feels SO GOOD?!
RPZL Hair Volume Powder
Hair type: Great for all hair types!
What I love about this product: Hair volume powder products are designed to add instant lift and thickness to hair by absorbing excess oil and providing texture for enhanced volume and body. This one does JUST that! I apply to the parietal ridge (think templeto back of the head and then to the other temple) and I skip my actual part line. If you have darker hair (like me at the moment) I recommend playing around with this one that way. Lighter hair? Short hair? this is amazing for volume everywhere! There is a texture left behind, so be aware your hair will feel "dirty"... But in a good way 😎
Angenil Pro Large Silicone Mats
What I love about this product: This is just a really simple, problem solving tool! This mat serves as surface protection while using hot tools but then transforms in to a heat protecting case. Ideal for traveling...No more running your iron under cool water to pack it!
Make-Up
KYDA Powder Blush
The shade I have is Rosewood but there are several others available!
What I love about this product: This is obviously an attempt to dupe the popular DIOR blushes that are everywhere right now. I own one of the Dior blushes and these are very similar (to be fair, I do think the DIOR are a touch less powdery). At far under $10 apiece these are a STEAL! My two faves come together in a set for $10!!
Energy Under-Eye Concealer Brush
What I love about this product: This brush is very nice for under $10. Is it as nice as my BK beauty brushes? No. But is does the job really well and is perfect as a toss in my purse and go type brush. The material is synthetic, soft and firm-ish: perfect for under eye concealer.
Grande Cosmetics Heated Lash Curler
What I love about this product: Ok this is a random really awesome tool for ME. I use mine to straighten out my lashes (I know, weird). It gets moderately "hot" and would work well to do a temporary lash "lift".
Fun Finds
Lipzi Anti Wrinkle Straw
What I love about this product: Ok this one MAY seem silly but if you drink from a straw A LOT you may want to consider this little modifier...
for SURE but for those drinking from their water bottles every day all day there is no doubt that the repetative motion can cause lip lines to form. I like this little set because it is affordable, the lip attachment feels right and it comes with a brush to clean the straw.
ZELUS Weighted Vest
Available in 6lb, 8lb, 12lb, 16lb, 20lb, 25lb, and 30lb
What I love about this product: THIS is so great for wearing around the house, on walks, while you work out... Take your health to the next level by simply adding a weighted vest! I was inspired to try one after seeing Dr Mary Claire Haver use one on the Pause Life retreat...Came right home and bought one and never looked back. A small investment in our health! Mine is 20 lbs, but any added weight is GREAT!
